Gathered material01

Wood

The frame of a camp. The fuel of a fire.

PickupUp to 2 wood
  • Fell a tree with the axe. Nothing lies on the ground.

1 bag unit each
Gathered material02

Stone

Broken stone, ready to make a hearth.

PickupUp to 2 stone
  • Break a rock with the pickaxe; now and then it gives charcoal instead.

1 bag unit each
Gathered material03

A wick, a binding, or a roof overhead.

PickupUp to 2 cloth
  • Pick wild hemp with E, one plant a press: 3 to 6 cloth, more deep out. A picked plant grows back in 6 minutes.

1 bag unit each
Gathered material04

Resin

A small reserve of light.

PickupUp to 1 resin
  • A felled tree sometimes gives resin as well as wood.
  • One resin refuels a standing torch for 15 minutes of active play, up to its fuel limit.

PickupUp to 1 coffee
  • A new game starts with a coffee flask in the bag. Select Coffee in your bag, then Drink.
  • Each cup adds 25 maximum stamina and 25 stamina, up to four cups. Further cups increase capacity and reset the same 90-second timer; they do not add duration.

1 bag unit each
Bench recipe07

Bench recipe10

Loot stacker

Lay the frame of your base. Everything you keep lives here.

Recipe · makes 19 wood
  • Fill the crafting grid with wood, one in every cell. Taking the result puts the frame in your hands to place: it is not a bag item, and nothing is spent until it is down.
  • Place it inside a base: three lit torches tied in a loop with cordage. R turns it. Its 9 wood become the first logs.
  • One loot stacker per camp. A bare frame can be taken down for its wood.
1 bag unit each

Linked torch path

A line to follow, even when the flames go out.

Requires placed objects2 standing torch + 1 cordage

03 / In the field

A few things to carry with you.

I.

What you can carry

Your bag has 16 boxes, and each holds up to 100 of one kind; the pickaxe, lantern and axe keep a box each. Drag supplies out of the bag to throw them away. A crate holds 80 material units.

II.

Time only passes in play

Fuel, gathering and dampness use active game time. Pause or close the game and those timers stop. Gathering spots recover after six active minutes.

III.

Already on your belt

The pickaxe and carried lantern are starting equipment, with no crafting recipe. The lantern prevents freezing and restores warmth up to 55%; camp or a lit hearth restores full warmth and life.
